Consecutive

Play a card, place a chip. Every card in the two decks appears on the board twice. On your turn, play a card from your hand and place a chip on one of its two spaces, then draw a replacement.

Corners are free. The four ✶ corners count as a chip for both sides.

Jacks are special. J♦ and J♣ are wild — place a chip on any open space. J♠ and J♥ remove one computer chip, as long as it isn't part of a completed sequence.

Sequences. Five of your chips in a row — across, down, or diagonally — make a sequence, which locks those chips in place. Two sequences may share at most one chip.

Dead cards. If both of a card's spaces are taken, it's dead. Once per turn you can swap a dead card for a fresh one, then still play.

Winning. The first side to complete two sequences wins.
